Optics: The Can’t-Go-Wrong Gift

As part of the sales team at Eagle Optics I’m always tickled when a person calls to buy a binocular for a gift. There isn’t a better gift to give than optics. Is there? I mean, optics cross all age, race, and gender barriers. I’ve helped people choose a binocular as a gift for graduation, retirement, and as anniversary, birthday, and wedding gifts. For me, it’s extra-special to help someone select a young person’s very first pair of binoculars. I can sense the excitement and anticipation, not only of the person doing the shopping, but also in myself. When I think of binoculars for kids, I think about the box being opened and a whole new world being opened to that child: our natural world, just waiting to be discovered and explored, in all its glorious details.

“Nature will bear the closest inspection. She invites us to lay our eye level with her smallest leaf, and take an insect view of its plain.” ~Henry David Thoreau
